@SMAKBAR

Our experience with Riyadh Embassy in not so good. In the website and the mail I received from the Embassy it says 6 weeks processing time. But one guy Ismail got his visa in his 11th week and mine is 11th week getting over today. So practically nothing is sure here. Also if you had sent ur application through ARAMAX, you should get an sms from the Embassy (sender name CANADAVISA) stating that, "dear applicant you application is received and under process" This is known as AOR(Acknowledgement of Receipt). DId you get any sms like that?

I think u have a very strong background and you will surely receive it, but have to be very patient.

all the best dear..

no I did not get any sms from embassy. the only way i know they have my application is the aramex waybill no, which states that some mr arshad signed it and received it on the 1st december.

check ur email may be they inform you through your email.

for me no sms also. but when I request to return back my passport for my Iqama renewal. They call my phone, unfortunately my phone was unattended. I call the embassy the following day. The embassy tel operator told me to just email email that i received a missed call from them. That same day i received a reply that my passport was with aramex. After processed of my Iqama, I forward my passport to embassy via aramex with a letter regarding my application.

thanks for the reply, Hart. I also thought it is not a big deal,or their regular procedure anyway. And Mr Rajryan, as i mentioned earlier I applied as a heavy duty truck driver.

Just want to make query. I am reading about AOR terms, is that the same name for the official receipt we receiving from embassy, where we see our file number like wxxxxxxxxxx? please advise

this jus that the embassy sends an sms to the mobile no specified stating that "dear applicant ur application has been received and under process". this is what i got.

The forum is very quite since holidays in the embassy

yes dear. already 11 weeks over for me. hoping for something next week :(

I hope that next week you will get some good news........ :)

Brothers, once you get your application approved, how much time usually you have to travel to Canada?

This will depend on a case to case basis. As for me, because I don't have a contract to finish, I can leave the following day after I get my visa.
