If you want result of your application. send then 2-3 case specific inquiries. you will result in 4-5 days.

I send 2-3 case specific inquiries to " let me know my file status". They reply me immediately. and the refusal letter they have mentioned that decision was made on 14th May 2014 by VO. It means why they were waiting for ???? they send me that letter on 7-July-2014.

Work Permit is based on LMIA (assuming you were not LMIA Exempt).
LMIA has to be processed by employer (Sponsor Type) - before they can technically hire a foreign worker.
Employer is responsible for hiring an employee - in short you need to have an employer willing to go through the LMIA process.

Hello there i applied july 22,2014 and tried to follow it up after a month and got a reply after 3days and they said they cant expedite my application because they process application on first come first serve basis. Anyway i applied online in abu dhabi.

Just wait for the update in vfs. Almost 7 months the processing time in uae. I got my visa only in 6 months and im waiting my passport to return and I got POE Letter yesterday. Just be patient. God has a right time for u. Gudluck bro

Received an update from Canadian Visa Office in Riyadh regarding my application. I am applying for work visa. The attached letter says...

"This is in reference to your application for temporary residence. A decision has been made on your application. We require your passport to finalize processing your application."

I am assuming that this is a Request for Passport. Does this mean that I am for Visa stamping? or are they requesting for passport as an Additional Document (I applied online where I sent the scanned copies of my passport), or is there a possibility of denial?

I am confused because I haven't done my medical yet and now they are requesting for passport? Is there anybody here who has experienced the same?

Congratulations. It means they need your passport so they can stick the Visa Label for an entry to Canada.
