Hey experts,
I really need your help. I applied my file under cec on April 25 2014. I graduate in April 2012 and my study permit was expired in June 2012. So I applied my post graduation work permit which was issued on July 17 2012.
I start working on July 7 2012 and my when I apply my cec file I sent them pay stubs from July 7 2012 to till date.
So my question is wen I start working in company I didn't have any work permit at that time but I already applied my post graduation work permit .
So from July 7 2012 to July 17 2012 I didn't have work Permit .
But I tell immigration I start working since July 7
Do u think they really gonna care about for a week which I work without work permit .

I thought I already on applied status so I shouldn't b any problem. Please help me guys

Thanks

So you applied for a PGWP before your study permit expired? In theory you were on implied status of the study permit, right?

Implied status is applicable when you have a valid work permit that is about to expire and you apply for a new one. While the processing is happening, if your valid work permit expires your status would be "implied" until you are either approved or refused a new work permit.

In your case at least from the information provided you did not have a valid work permit and started working before you were issued one. The work experience would not count for that one week and whether working without a permit affects your application is really up to CIC.

So not only did you work without authorization, you provided CIC with evidence?

"Implied status" means you get to stay in Canada under the conditions of the old permit, and you're also bound by the restrictions of the permit you applied for. Meaning, you were essentially a visitor from when your study permit expired until your PGWP (assuming there was no other permit in effect).

I get some solution online as well. here is the link..

cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=188&t=17

But i m still confused about different kind of permit thing.

Well actually i was applying for different kind of permit. it means from study permit to work permit but in same hand, i already had work permit (part time) in Canada which was going to expired too...

What you think guys?

You don't need to mention it. They have access to your work/study permits as they issued them to begin with.

So was your OCWP valid when you applied for PGWP? If yes, then you had implied status for the processing period. If no, then you worked without authorization for one week.

I mean you didn't mention it in your original post. When you applied for CEC you would have provided your 'most recent' authorization document (see the document checklist). There is no need to provide them with previous permits.

If you had your Off Campus Work Permit valid that time which you calling "part time work permit", then you don't have to worry because OCWP allows you to work full time when done with your studies or you don't have study semester( eg summer breaks).

So chill you are good. :D

Ocwp was valid when I applied for PGWP. But when I was working I didn't had any work permit valid but yes I applied for PGWP. So should I come under implied status .
