Hi Guys,
Quick question. I had applied for a student visa last year for which I got rejected. At that time I did not add a full time role that I had taken on 2010 in my work history . In the interest of time and logistic, my agent told me that it was okay to leave out one of the role.
I got in the EE pool on feb with 438 point and got my ITA on March 1st .I had added the full time experience from 2010-2012 in my profile . Can you all advice me on this situation???

Thank you all!!

Saw this query on another forum and would like some clarification please .
In the EE application there is this section where it asks u when u first became qualified to do this job.
Now my NOC states that I need a degree plus several years experience do do this job
My issue is I have been working in the capacity of the NOC I put down , for 10 years now but I only got my degree in 2015.
In answer to the question on the EE profile I put down the date I assumed responsibilities of my current noc , although I did not have a degree at that point , just a few years of experience leading up to it .
Is that wrong ?

Hello to all,
I'm preparing to apply for Express Entry program.
I need a little advice about my work experience.

In March 2014 I started work under NOC 0 - 0631.
In May 2015 I took an unpaid holidays and went for 1 years to Canada under IEC, so my work experience was 13 months.
In Canada I worked mostly part-time (NOC C), and for 2 months full-time.
After I came back in May 2016, I get back to my previously work in June 2016 (NOC 0 - 0631) - same possition, same company - and I work till today.

Total my foregin work experience is almost 25 months.

Is this gap in my work will effence somehow to score points under EE?

Since 2007 (12months) and from 2010 to 2013 (34months) I also have work experience under NOC A 1123 - total is 46 months (almost 4 years)

Should I mention about this in my express entry application?
Maybe it will help somehow to get more points?

I will be apprecaite for any tips.
Thank you in advance!

Re: Work Experience (Need clarification)- 11 years work exp in different roles

Hi, I request for clarification w.r.t. my work experience:

I have a 11 year work experience with the same company, however in the last 11 years I have worked in Various roles and at various different places within the organisation. In my PR application under FSW I have listed each profile in the application with different location. Can i get one consolidated Experience letter from My organisation for all 11 years and attach a self declaration mentioning all the roles and responsibilities. Or Should I get a role wise breakup in the experience letter.

I have individual transfer orders available I can also upload them which corroborate the information.

Also Although I can arrange for Pay Stubs for all the profiles, But I am thinking of uploading pay stubs only for my current role.

Would be grateful if I get some help.

Hello every one ,
I am in the process of creating my express entry profile. I am stuck at "Primary occupation" section.
My work history is as follows
Jan 2013 - Jan 2015 - System Analyst role - NOC - 2171.
Jan 2015 - current - Application Developer role - NOC -2174

In the occupation section - It is mentioned to select the NOC code and my application will base on that code. Please see below wording from Express entry website which I encountered while creating my profile

Primary occupation (4 digit NOC Code)Find your NOC page to learn more.

This means the job XXXXX ( my name) has experience in and wants to base the immigration application on. This is how we will determine your eligibility for federal programs. You will need to know the job title and the NOC for the primary occupation and for any other jobs you add, as well as for any job offer

Question :

1. Should I mention 2171 or 2174 ? for primary occupation NOC code?

2. If I give 2171, my current role's NOC code is not taken into consideration, but If I give 2174, my past experience wont be counted .
Could any one please advise me on this.

Hi,
I've a quick question. I'll complete my 3 years in september 28th working in a firm. I work 40 hours a week (full time). Can I enter EE pool by claiming points based on 3 years or should I wait till September ? I've read somewhere that if you work 30 hours a week it is considered as full time work. Can you please elaborate ?

Roughly estimated I've worked 2000 hours in 1 year excluding the overtime that was paid aswell and included in my paysheet.

Please I need help.

I have recieved email from CIC, asking to submit Schedule A form again and there must be no gaps in work experience. Previously I sent them form as per below dates. Now they emphasis there shouldn't be any gap in dates.

Form sent before:

From To
2015-04 2017-05 Employed
2013-12 2015-04 Employed
2012-07 2013-11 Employed

Now, they are asking is to fill the gap or years should be overlapping, but in my second job there is not any gap because it was finished on 30th Nov and started next day which is 1st Dec.

Would it make sense if send them below modified dates:

From To
2015-04 2017-05 Employed
2013-12 2015-04 Employed
2013-11 2013-12 Unemployed
2012-07 2013-11 Employer

Thanks

Hi All,

I have question regarding work experience gap. I have 5.5 years of work exp with 2 different employers with same NOC. I have a gap of 4 days between the last day at 1 employer n joining day of 2 employer.
1. Is this a problem?
2. I have no change in points if i remove my 2 employer. So should i remove 2 employer from my profile?

Thanks

I have a doubt regarding EE and ON PNP
I am not sure how many years of experience I should put for foreign work experience (Or rather how much would it be calculated by IRCC) . Here is my history outside Canada (All with the same NOC A xxxx code, All full time )
Job 1 : July 11, 2012 till April 10, 2014 : 20 months 29 days
Job 2 : April 11, 2014 till March 13, 2015 : 11 months 2 days
Job 3 : April 13, 2015 till July 22, 2016: 15 months 9 days

My question is
1. Will all above experience be calculated for EE/ON PNP ? Or Job2 (because it is 11 months) wont be calculated for determining points/calculating experience ?

-
(I see I got 25 points in transferability skills but I am not sure if that's with or without Job 2)

- Without Job2, going by actual dates, I have 36 months and 8 days (3 years + ) , going by months it is 20+15 : 35 months

Any idea how should CIC calculates the duration ?

2. I have been sent an NOI by Ontario, but it mentions gaps not allowed. I am not sure if the gap between Job 2 and Job 3 is considered a gap. Can somebody help me on this ? Will my total experience for which I would be given points be Job1 + job2 + job3

Note: Your continuous full-time or part-time work experience may consist of multiple back-to-back jobs with the same or different employer(s) (with no gap in between) provided that at least one year of your work experience was in the same NOC occupation and you included this occupation as your primary NOC in your Express Entry profile.

Hello, My total work experience is 12 years.I have been working in same organization for last 7 years. Is it Ok to show only the experience of 7 years with my current organization ? Or do i have to show the experience of previous 5 years as well ? I am trying to avoid to go to the companies that i had worked in the past for reference letters.

Your proof of employment must contain the following information:
- start and end dates
- number of hours worked per week
- salary, including bonuses
- job title
- list of duties and responsibilities

If you can compile all of this information for each job, using a combination of other documents, that's okay.

Documents do not have to be attested.
I had been looking for information on these lines and this information certainly helps on it.

Thanks much for sharing it.

However, if you would be able to guide on the below instance as well, it would be of substantial help.

when I have continuous experience for 6 years in the same firm, where positions were changed due to progression or promotions,

Q1 - What format should the reference letters be, provided all designations fall under same NOC category?

Q2 - Does it need to mention start and end date and salary components as mandatory requirement?

Q3 - Apart from reference letter, what document proofs are required at document verification after receipt of ITA?

Q3 - As one reference letter can not combine all responsibilities, if I have individual reference letter for each position, does the EE profile provide option to upload all, that I get the analyzed appropriately for my experience?

I know its a lot to ask, but, I shall be glad if it is possible for you to spare some time helping another newbie out.

Thanks much.

If anyone else wants to add on and/or respond to my thread, please feel free to ask/share your mind. Thanks.

Hi, my query is regarding the format of job experience letter from the company. I am working as Software Engineer in the same organization past 3.4 years, which I joined as my first company in 2014. My company doesn't issue work experience letter unless you are you are leaving your job. However they do issue work experience letter for higher education purpose, mentioning "for the purpose of higher education" on the top of the letterhead. Will this kind of experience letter work for Canada's express entry profile?
