Work Experience letter

Hello Everyone,

I am about to complete one year full time experience around May and would be filing my PR application, I need to know can I collect my work experience letter now from my immediate reporting manager or should I wait till I complete my one year full time experience the reason is my immediate manager has put up his papers for resignation and the new manager joining wouldn't know me well at the same time it is quiet difficult to get it from HR

Please advise.

Wait until you actually have the years experience, you can ask your resigning supervisor, but his letter won't reflect a year's work.

Yes, in this case, I would ask for 2 letters - one from your departing supervisor (it will not be enough), and then you can give this to your new supervisor and ask him her to update the letter after you complete the 1 year. (You only need to submit the 2nd letter that reflects the full year's work experience.)
