Hi
I completed my studies in December 2014 and applied for my PGWP on January 18, 2015. I started working on February 1, 2015. Now I am completing my 1 year of CEC on January 31, 2016. The problem is I received my post graduate work permit on April 30, 2015. Now can I make my express entry profile from February 1, 2016 or do I need to wait till April 30, 2016. Everytime I call CIC call centre they tell different things. I only have 1 year work permit and don't have a LMIA.
Does work done after completion of studies and after applying for PGWP and before getting PGWP counted towards CEC or not.

Yes you can use that experience. Just make sure you document it properly and write a proper cover letter.

This is a tricky edge case, but the consensus seems to be that time after you have formally graduated counts.

All experience on PGWP counts as long as you're not studying full-time.

OP's problem is tricky, because OP has to convince the VO that he was not a full time student between the date he started working and the date of getting PWGP. Needs to make sure he/she gets a letter from the university stating OP has completed his/her degree requirements on "some date".

Hi/

I have same question. I also called CIC an got different replies. I am not sure, which date should I write.

I have applied for Express Entry. I was wondering, from which date my experience will start. I completed my masters on December 19, 2014 from Vancouver.

Letter received from University

Start Date of Studies: May 02, 2013
Completion Date of Studies: December 19, 2014

He completed the program requirements to graduate with a
Master of Administrative Science degree on December 19, 2014 and will receive his Degree certificate in February, 2015.

My question is will my experience will start from Dec 19, 2014 or Feb 2015, please let me know?

Thanks

Don't know about FSW, but for CEC any experience gained since Dec 19, 2014 would be eligible as long as it's NOC A/B/0.

yes. I am eligible both for CEC and FSW.

One more thing, I have open work permit and I am working in a company since Dec 19, 2014 after my masters.

What should I put, If I have job offer and do I have to show $12,000 in my account?

Thanks

Can anyone have any idea about my previous question?

You may get better answers in the Express Entry section of the forum.

Off the top of my head, only include the job offer if you have an LMIA. If you apply through FSW, you will need to show $12,000. If you do not have that amount, your application will be done through CEC (as you said you are eligible for both).

For CEC, no.
For FSW, yes you must show at least $11,931. Else you're ineligible under FSW stream.

I am eligible under both, in my profile it says FSW-Met and CEC- Met.

Under which I will get ITA, its up to me, or they will specify that?

Thanks

Do you have a letter from the university saying you completed your degree on some date?

If you are eligible for both, the default option for CIC is to give you an ITA for FSW.

If you would prefer to apply under CEC, you can ensure you are not eligible for FSW if you do not meet the proof of funds requirement.
