Withdrawing a protected person status

Hi there,

I am contemplating withdrawing my protected person status that was awarded to me by 2013 and I failed to apply for my permanent residency until october 2015 and I was informed i have to wait another two years to process the permanent residency so I receieve my passport back.

I have not been successful or happy in the country and I want my way out so now what would happen if I withdraw my protected person claim to get my Saudi expired passport back since 2013. What are the consequences going to be like? Would I have be issued departure order? Am I going to be handed the passport inside the airplane when I leave? How am I supposed to travel to my country with expired passport? If i am in connecting flight, what would happen to me if the transit country would not let me in the second airplane to my home country?

If theres no direct flight between Canada and your home country, you cannot travel back with an expired passport, the CBSA will send your passport with your consent to the embassy to renew it or apply for a travel document.

The passport will be handed to you at the airport from a CBSA agent.

As for withdrawing your protected refugee status is not a wise idea imo. Also if you renew your passport, you will be in trouble even if you don't withdraw you pr status.

Thank you for the advice. Do you know when the passport is returned to me, is it altered or stamped to show it was confiscated when applying? I could bare the risk of traveling with expired passport to my country. But If the passport is altered to show that I was a refugee i would be in big trouble

They do not stamp your passport in any kind but if they have to apply to renew your passport from the embassy or apply for a 1 time use travel documeng, the embassy will know that you are a refugee.
The passport will be handed to you at the security check at the airport for international flights and not the connection flight in Canada.

Please help me with information, I am a proteted person and PR application processing. but now i want to return back to my country. My passport already expired and with ircc office. please advise me the process for withdrawal protected person status and return to my country. As soon as possible
