I am a protected person currently waiting for my permanent residency. I’m considering applying for a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) for my mother so she can visit me for the birth of my baby next month.

I've read through several forums and found mixed opinions about the chances of approval, especially given my status as an asylum claimant. I’m wondering if anyone in a similar situation has successfully brought their parents on a TRV recently.

What are the chances of approval in my case? I’m hesitant to apply if the likelihood of refusal is very high.

She has to show her own cash in the bank, ties to return and strong travel history. Ties to return are job letter with approved leave, business, income property, pension etc. You being a protected person doesn't help her profile but she must show absolute proof to return and not claim asylum.

The chances of approval will be low but there is no harm trying.
