I was approved as a protected person in November 2025 and applied for PR in December 2025. I haven't yet received my AOR. My current work permit expires on July 22, 2026 — just 5 days away. It was my mistake not to have checked the expiry date sooner.
Based on the IRCC web questionnaire, my application only requires Form IMM 5790, my passport, and a photo. A few questions for anyone with similar experience:

- Should I also include additional documents explaining my situation, such as a letter of explanation, my Notice of Decision, my current work permit, and my PR application payment receipt?
- Can anyone confirm that a medical exam is not required for this type of work permit extension? I only completed a medical exam for my refugee claim back in 2024. I understand protected persons applying from within Canada are generally exempt, but I wanted to double-check given how close I am to the expiry date.
