Hi , I found out this # 1-888-242-2100 from the CIC website and have been trying numerous times but its the taped voice instructions guiding to go to various menus . How can I talk to the agent ? Is there some other number to dial on ?

Go through the menu. Check status and eventually u will talk to a real agent. Thats the only phone number.

Congratulations @trendsetter. According to your timeline I believe that you applied in October 2014. That pretty fast and I hope CIC Winnipeg will continue and pick up seed. Did you included and additional documents?

I applied in Aug 2013 and processing started off in Oct 2013 . Did the test on 16th Dec 2014 and scheduled to take oath on March 17th 2015 . Total of 19 months starting from the day I applied and till the day I would be taking the oath .

No , I did not include any additional documents except for the ones which were asked for and mentioned in the instructions for filling the application .

She said that all my background checks were done and now we are just waiting for them to issue a test invite, she said that Winnipeg has to send out a letter to my jurisdiction which is Thompson in order for them to issue the test invite...

They said to call back at the end of may if I havn't heard anything yet...

so the test would be in Winnipeg or in Thompson ? I am from Brandon so was wondering that do they conduct tests in Winnipeg only? cheers

My friend from brandon (who recently became a citizen) wrote her test and also had her oath in Winnipeg.

Hello all! Just thought I would add my timeline

Applied February 2nd
Application mailed back to me due to fee insufficiency
Applied again February 23rd 2014
Started processing April 2014
Discover Canada Book sent April 2014
Received test invite February 17th 2015
Test date March 4th 2015!

Anyone have a test advice? Also anyone know how long it takes to take the oath after you pass?
