Hey guys,
Been reading this thread sporadically but now I have something to contribute!
I applied for citizenship mid-June 2014, and got my letter for my test last week - test is on 20th May. I think my file got a bit delayed in the early stages, as I contacted CIC and they said my initial letter had already been sent out, but I never received it. So they reposted with the study guide, which I got in September 2014. Then I heard nothing until just now. I stopped checking the online portal as it was frustrating me!
So now I've just got to study!

what I am getting from this forum is that it takes about 10, 11 months from sending application to the test invite , off course here in Manitoba, ,

Looks that way for routine applications. At least there has been movement now in Winnipeg just wish I could say the same for Rq victims.

What was your application date?

I applied on the 24th June and I have not heard anything from them yet... I am really hoping to hear something soon... I truly just want to be done with this journey... It's been going on roughly 10 years now... I just want to get on with my life.

Good news friends, I Ecas was been updated! They have sent my notice for Citizenship Ceremony for June 8! Feel so relieved!

So E-cas was updated two months and two days after we took the test.
1.We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on February 8, 2013.

2.We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on February 8, 2013. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

3.We started processing your application on March 28, 2013.

4.We sent you a notice on February 25, 2015 to appear and write the citizenship test on March 11, 2015 at 10:45 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

Would have loved to see Oath Invite though.
