Will work permit be affected this way?

I've finished two 1-year programs in Toronto and currently on a 3 year work permit.

I was wondering if I could take a 4 month program without my work permit being affected. Now I know that I do not need a study permit for a program less than six months and this one starts Sept.2015 and ends on Dec '15. But unsure if work permit will be affected or not.
