Please provide the following information u/s 2(f), 2(i),2 (j) and 6(1) of the RTI Act 2005:
When a marriage is registered under The Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 in Tamil Nadu, a document titled “True extract of Hindu marriage register kept by the marriage registrar office, [Location]”, was provided to the applicants on successful registration.
1. As per the rules and guidelines please inform whether the above mentioned document can be considered as the official proof of the registered marriage.
2. Is there a separate marriage certificate issued other than the above mentioned document?

a. As per section 6(3) of the RTI Act 2005, In case, the requested information is held by another public authority,I request the PIO to transfer the application or part of it within FIVE days and immediately inform me about such transfer.
b. As per section 7(3) of the RTI Act 2005, In case, there are further fee required to provide the requested information, I request the PIO to inform me of the additional fee amount along with the calculations made to arrive at the amount.
