@ruby i've just read the previous thread and you are the same as cuterash, his file was also transfered to L.A,but i haven't heard anything from him lately.......

been reading a lot of different threads (family sponsorship, PNP and FSW) with Buffalo as visa office, seems like a lot of files were transferred to different satellite offices today - Detroit, New York, Los Angeles

i bet they really are overloaded with applications that's why we've been waiting 3+ months and no movement with our cases. a friend of hubby who hired an immigration lawyer said that the feedback he got from the lawyer is that Buffalo is having problems with their computer system or something that's why everything is slow.

so moody again as no news, no update from Buffalo.. sent them message but no reply. counting now-- coming to 4 months after medical.

Being an IT professional, let me throw my cents on this issue. If Buffalo have a computer problem, it should be across the board. Visa offices share the same system no matter wherever they are. It is inconceivable to have to have an isolated computer problem at one office, unless, it is local hardware issue, which should not have much impact. Some applicants are getting visa issued. If they had computer problem, why would the anyone be getting visas from Buffalo. Anyone who has American Visa and have Canadian VISA, can see the similarity between both VISA numbers (the large number that appears at the bottom of VISA). Not only that, in this day and age, even international airlines do verify your visa. That shows the connection between all these systems and offices. On top of that, there are always backup systems to fall back on. Moreover, any computer issues are resolved quickly.

That is a good development, seems soon you will receive PR

Hi,

I wonder, should i get new criminal record and new medical exam...
Bacuse 6 months is done..
My documents are expired....!!?

Or should i wait till get email from buffalo officers

Thanks

it make no sense to ask for your new background check and medical exam because of the backlog by the office. To you, you have done everything but just wait for them.

seems i cannot complain as you take longer than me .. :'(

are you same case...? Is your VO buffalo ?

Hello Canada81, my visa office was buffalo until last week, My file has been transferred to NY. Medicals received 2nd July. Waiting.....:)

jxy01- can you share your timeline?
I would prefer my file can be transferred to other office , because i heard that most of the cases, after your file was transferred to other office, you will get PPR one month later.

Hello Canada81, Medicals are valid for one year. I mailed my application to Buffalo on Feb 22. Not sure if they will ask me another copy of FBI clearance. Since, my file is transferred to NY, i am expecting PPR in January. And just in case, I would be requesting another copy of FBI clearance.

Hello 4mfamily, Here is my timeline.

AINP nomination: Nov 27, 2009
CIC Application received: Feb 22, 2010
AOR/Medical request: June 22, 2010
Medicals Received: July 2, 2010
File Transfereed to NY: October 19,2010

In most cases whose files have been transferred to LA office received PPR within a month. I do not know if same is true for NY.

jxy01,
may i know when did you do the medical check? i did it at July 8 but don't know when buffalo received. it just told me they received it.

you are right, maybe the consultant is just making excuses so my husband's friend will stop asking about the status of his application for PR.
