same here canada81, more than 5 months waiting for PPR

seems that most of our files are being processed by Buffalo Office, but don't know how they can prioritize the files, whether it is depending on
which provinces you will go if we are applied under PNP.. and i find some people's files will be forwarded to other office by Buffalo office in order to have a faster approval. But if their files can be forwarded to other visa office, when will they be notified ? will they know when they received the file number ? or .. I know some people waited longer than me, but i find buffalo office is more busy than before ( my friend applied four years ago but she took 1.1/2 months from medical to ppr).

what's going on with buffalo office? seems the slowest visa office i've heard........... >:(

assume your friend and you are applying the same provinces and under same visa office, what a big difference.
I don't know we have other choices than Buffalo, otherwise I will send it to NY , it seems that it is faster.
friend of my friend got the PPR last month , 3 months after the PPR, and today they did the landing already...

i am so anxious .. :'(

canada 81,

i am actually confused about when the RPRF should be paid.

If you notice in EP7, Instruction guide for Provincial Nominees it says

Right of Permanent Residence Fee
•$490 per person for you (the principal applicant) and your spouse or common-law partner (if applicable). Dependent children are exempt.
•You will need to pay this fee before your application for permanent residence can be finalized. We will send you a request to pay this fee when we are ready to issue the permanent resident visa.

but in Buffalo Consulate's website http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/buffalo/imm/fees-frais_buffalo.aspx it says

The fees for applications in some economic classes (Quebec Selected, Canadian Experience Class, Provincial Nominees) are payable when the application is submitted.

Applications submitted in these classes without the correct fees will be returned to the applicant.

The Right of Permanent Residence Fee in these classes may be paid at the time of application or at any time during processing.
The Right of Permanent Residence Fee must be paid before the Visa is issued.
