rubyalabar,
how come you can answer at mid night of manila time ?
thanks for your info. Then I will pay for myself and my husband, excluding my children .

now that's confusing... i sent them an email about this too, and their reply is that the RPRF will be requested. But I think it is better to pay already.

From what I read in Buffalo's website, they don't accept payments made online, you have to send them a certified check/bank draft/money order.

anyone can answer me

according to the web site of buffalo, it says that the money should be payable to "Canadian Consulate General" for either money order, or certified cheque, so i bought it from bank last sat. But today I got mail from Buffalo who told me the name is

“Receiver General for Canada",,, it is so confusing from the web, so can i still go ahead sending the cheque with " canadian consulate General"?

buffalo website says canadian consulate general. i checke dwith other satellite offices, some require receiver general for canada and the others the same as buffalo. it is very confusing, they are not consistent at all.

fyi, we sent our application processing fee to buffalo (550 for each adult and 150 for each child) and it is payable to canadian consulate general. and as we know, our application was processed and our fees were accepted. but that's just my experience.

let's wait for what others have to say just to be sure :)

I sent case specific enquiry to CHC ND after sending passports and completion of medical. I got below reply. Is this a standard reply ?

"This is in response to your recent enquiry to the Immigration Section of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi.
Under Canada's immigration legislation, all immigrant applications are subject to statutory requirements, including medical and background checks. These requirements must be satisfied before an applicant may be granted permanent resident status. In this context, certain background investigations are being conducted in connection with your application. As these investigations are conducted by outside agencies, we have no purview over the processing time. We are therefore unable to give an exact time frame in which we expect to conclude the verifications on this case.

For now, there is no action required on your part. Please be assured that as soon as the checks are completed the next steps in this application will be determined. Until then, we will not be able to provide any additional information on this case.

Delays in the processing of visa applications are always disappointing to all concerned, but rest assured that all efforts are being made to ensure efficient and expeditious processing of all visa applications."

tim50,

it is a standard reply, it is actually more than the reply I got from Buffalo visa office. At least, they explained further why your applicaiton seems to be at a stand still. i have been waiting for some development on our application, medicals were done July 26 but until now no passport request yet. i believe, once the medicals are done, they will proceed with doing security checks (as mentioned in their reply)which from what I have read in this forum has no time frame at all. It can take as long or as brief depending on what CIC is looking for.

Medical done : July 1, 2010

Online status was updated with "Medical status have been received"

Does any one have above updates on their online status ?

Thanks,
