rubyalabar,
Where in Canada you plan to come? :)

my husband is in Regina, Saskatchewan. we'll stay there at least a year, if we can't withstand the extreme winter temperatures there we might move to ontario near my relatives.

Regina is a cold place. My cousin sister runs a hotel near Saskatchewan border in Alberta. Most guests do not take shower. The hotel housekeeping is mainly changing bed sheets and cleaning the floor. It gets very cold from October onwards. Cars have to be plugged in night to keep them heated. You can see bird migration in september. Eventually, people do get used to that cold.

You're right, it gets really cold there but my husband who's living there for almost 2 years now is used to it already. :) So we're thinking, my daughter and I could give it a try and if we can't adjust or get used to the cold weather, we will move to Ontario where my relatives are or to BC, I am very interested in Victoria actually but cost of living might be high.

congrat! what is your visa office? have you ever asked your visa office about your status ?
also, when you received the passport request, what is the status on your online status in cic web ?

Thanks!
To answer your questions.
- my VO is Manila.
- No, I never asked my VO of anything. I just waited for each step. (But to be hones, I almost did because it took 76 days from Medical completion to PP Request, if it reaches 90 days then I could have done it. ;D).
- When I got my PPR via email, my eCAS status is still "In Process". Then after 15 days it changed to "Decision Made". And another 8 days later our Visa was delivered in our doorstep. ;)

Regards.

well, I guess the immigration officer assigned to my case is different (read:he doesn't update our e-cas). Ours is still in process even though i already got an email confirmation from Buffalo visa office that they have the results of our medical exams.

Ruby,

Yes you are right . All cases are handled in different way. I don't see any synergy.
Did you click on "In Progress" status of your e-cas to see what are the comments inside???? My e-cas is also "in Progress" but following comments are added inside " We have received medical results"

For me, all it says is "We started processing your application on XXXXXX."

Reply to my case specific enquiry was how Buffalo confirmed that they have received my medicals.
