Hi Pranav,

Almost the same situation with us.My employer applied for Pre-Screen in February 2011. They asked for a few document's (payroll information, salaries etc.) We've submitted everything and nothing happened since then. Our rep. has been calling them, but they always give the same answer..It's in process, the manager needs to sign it, our manager was sick for a while etc...Doesn't make sense at all...The last time they promised they will send out answers before Christmas..So we were hoping...But nothing happened...Today is the 18th of Janaury 2012..almost one year has passed...And it's only the first step!!!I don't know what to do, our work permit will expire in December....and they keep telling us stories about our file and they keep telling to be patient it's in process..That's crazy...We're very dissapointed..They're keeping us back.... :-[

Hi Islington,

It is disappointing to hear. Yes it is exact situation as mine. My rep came up with a reply once that the office of the PNP was flooded and that is one of the reason for the delay. When i started in last feb my rep told me that it will be done in maximum three months and i had rushed from one corner to another corner of the globe to get all those documents ready. Now all had became obsolete.

I have decided to drop the plan if nothing happened in couple of weeks.

Hi Pranav,

The story regarding the flooding sounds similar. We heard the same story. But after the flooding our rep told us that the manager who is taking care of our files is in serious illness and there is no one else who could take care of our papers. So we were waiting, however this sounded absurd. After a few months (2-3) we heard that our manager is back to work but he is still not 100% percent so we have to be patient. We could hit the roof...I mean don't get me wrong I feel really sorry for sick people but isn't just anyone else in the office who could do something?? I'm working too and if I'm sick someone else need to do my job, we just can't say to the supplier for 3-4 months that the accountant is sick...But it seems that they can do this to us for 10 months...
We don't really know what to do, our work permit will expire and we're wasting time. We are considering to apply under other category but it will take a long time to get all the papers and not only time but money..We paid a lot for the rep...And we're having our first child in june...
Did you or your rep call them recently?

Yes we called our representative last week. He told me that I need not worry as I am not alone. About 10 cases with him are in the same status.

But they promptly reply in the FB to all that "maximum 90 days first-come-first-served".

I feel really sorry for you guys. The excuse of flooding and sickness cannot be accepted if the elapsed time crosses the limit for consideration.

But I wonder why you guys choose to work with REP if you are an inland applicant. PNP or CEC categories are pretty straight forward. It's a lot of money when you are paying $1500 for PNP and also the REP who is representing you. You all should notify MCI (Ontario Ministry of Citizenship & Immigration) re: your circumstances. You can read MCI Client Service Policy (http://www.citizenship.gov.on.ca/english/aboutus/servicepolicy/index.shtml) and contact thereafter.

Anyway, good luck for the rest of the journey.

Thank you Rossei.

We thought using a representative will be better because they are in and out of the office everyday and they would know the requirements better and we can avoid the unnecessary delays. Also my employer is very busy to deal all these issues. So he preferred to use the representative.

Thank you Rossei!

We had the same oppinion as Pranav about the importance of the rep ...Seems we were wrong...

Pranav: our files must be with the same manager (and rep).. ???

I'll post if there is any update, we have to find out what's going on!!!.. We'll keep calling our rep...We have the right to get an answer, aren't we????

Find out the name of the officer who is processing the pre-screen application. When they requested additional documents from your representative, the officer who is incharge of processing your application must have emailed your rep. Get that. Can you guys tell me the name of the companies you work for? If it is not a well-known firm, perhaps that could cause the delay. Am just assuming.

Hi Tugga!

I got the name too, but what can I do with it? We sent the requested documents in May.They told to our rep that they won't require any additional documents. They got everything they need.
Our company is not a well known company, does it make any difference? It is not a requirement.

Well you can email or call the officer directly and see if you can find out. You are saying it's not a well-known company? If its a small one, they would probably do a lot more verification. Again am just guessing here.

My employer had tried to contact the PNP this week directly. But he could never get trough to them. No one answers the phone and the voice box is full and e-mails bounces back. He even tried to contact the officer in-charge mentioned in their acknowledgement letter. Do not know what is happening at the PNP? Anyone got the luck of contacting them?

No answer from PNP but our rep. advised to contact MP (Member of Parliament) and explain the situation. They might help, they can call the PNP office directly.I think I'll try the contact our MP.
I think we should try to find other people in the same situation and make some noise!
