Hello all, thanks in advance for the advice you can give me.

I moved to canada almost 2 years ago under student permit. I completed my Master's degree and applied for a postgraduate work permit. I am currently working 2 part time jobs (one of them is aligned with my 4 years' work experience in Venezuela). I've been also living with my partner for about a year now. So I was reading the next steps for me to get the PR. But I don't know which option would be better for me: Express Entry or Common-Law sponsorship?

My partener is a Canadian citizen and he has no problem with sponsoring me, but I don't know which route would be easier and faster. I've read both take at least a year.

thanks again for your help,

Vanessa!

Common law is generally easier / faster.

Common law will be easier as you will not have to get ECA, language tests and reference letters but be prepared to show lots of information and photographs to prove that your relationship is genuine and you are indeed common law.

Thanks a lot! Do you have any suggestion for the common law process?
Any tricky parts or special recommendation to prove our relationship?

Is it a good idea to use affidavit from friends?
