hi,
this seems like a trivial question but I still need help :) I a canadian citizen currently in Egypt (since 2012) and I am sponsoring my Egyptian wife (we have been married for 2.5 years now and we have one kid)...Now, I am filling in the application forms for the sponsor, i.e. me, and the sponsored spouse, i.e. my wife, BUT i am not sure where to submit the final application? cic.gc.ca says I should submit it to CPC office in Mississauga, but I have many Egyptian documents (e.g. translated marriage certificate, police certificate, kashaf el eila,...) and it does not make sense to send all these translated docs to Mississauga? would the Canadian embassy be more suitable to handle these docs? also, what if there were some missing documents or any mistake, then it would take much longer to fix things if all communication is done directly with Mississauga and I am in Egypt?

thanks in advance,
khaled

You send everything - the sponsor application and the sponsored person's application - together to Mississauga. CIC officers there will check the documents provided and approve you (or not) as the sponsor. Then everything is sent to the visa office that will process your file.

Thanks canadianwoman... actually it's written on cic website (could not post the link) that the visa office is closed in Egypt, and all new applications should be sent to Case Processing Centre in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada... just to confirm: so this means i should send all the translated egyptian docs to Mississauga as well? thanks in advance...

Definitely. Whatever has to be sent with the sponsor's application and the sponsored person's application has to be sent together to Mississauga. So send the translated Egyptian documents there with your application.
