I've received AIP and currently waiting for final approval.
However, my program is one year and I realized I've missed the chance to apply for my spouse permit with my application.
When would be a good time to apply for the work permit? 1) after receiving study permit. 2) while waiting for study permit. 3) when I travel to Canada hopefully at the end of year.

Also, would my spouse be able to travel with me without a permit later in the year?

With the webinar today, they said I can apply for the sowp and link my spouse application to mine after having aip. How would I do that?
did they mention the risk to do so? like impacting the eligibility assessment of the primary applicant, financial requirement etc.?

No but I was thinking about it. Would that cause ircc to reassess my eligibility?

no idea. that's why im asking. personally, i think it would be risky to do so before your entering into canada.

Point taken. What if I want my spouse to come with me help me establish myself in Canada? Would that be considered nonessential travel?
