Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi All,

I got ITA today. This forum has been very helpful. So thanks everyone. :)
Quick question:
When should i get the medicals done. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/medexams-perm.asp
As per the current date which category will it fall if i do medicals in the coming 2-3 weeks.

a) Undergo your exam before you submit your application
or
b) Wait for instructions once you have submitted your application. Instructions issued by CIC (When is the instruction issued? After i submit my ITA?)

Also what is the recommendation?
Any specific things that i should keep in mind during the medicals. Some medical test id ,certificate etc.?

Thanks

Medicals are very straight forward: you should get them done upfront after getting an ITA. You cannot wait to send them after submitting the application because they printout information sheet the doctor gives to you after the exams is one of the required documents. Don't leave the doctor's office without this sheet!

Does the doctor decide the category or do we? If he is an experienced doctor who is solely specialized ina Canadian immigration tests, can we just let him choose the category, without worrying about rejection that is happening due to incorrect category?

My doctor decided it for me, I guess it was Worker-Non EDE. He said eMedical didn't gave him much choice.

Get them done as soon as possible (i.e. now). You only have 60 days to get your application in and in some places, there's a wait to see the DMP.
