What verification is done before sending the PR cards?

I received the PR cards for me and my son. It's been more than a week and I haven't received my wife's PR card yet. I called CIC yesterday and they informed that my wife PR card is not delivered yet, and is in some verification process. Does anyone have any idea what kind of verification is being done during this phase?

Did anyone had a similar experience?

Seems like CIC has a quality control process to randomly verify some PR card. Don't worry, you should get yours in 2/3 weeks as did for those people in the above thread.

Hi,

I have same problem.
We landed on 14th September, and I received my PR card on 4th November. But I didn't received my wife's card yet. I called CIC and I was told that this is under verification and I do not need to worry about that. But he said that it will take more than two months to get the Card.
Did yoy received your card? or you are still waiting?
