Child's Visa expiring tomorrow. PR already filed! Need urgent help !

From IRCC Guide: If you do not work, describe what you are currently doing (retired, not working, going to school, etc.) So just put two entries: The period she was in her home country, and the period she was in Canada. Put time, activity, city accordingly, and put N/A for name of company...

    NOC for postdoc in geochemist?

5 out of 12 is a good match in my opinion. Many occupations are highly specialized, and I think CIC understands that.

Landing in Canada (when you're already here)

Don't think so. You'll need to go to Niagara Falls/Fort Erie, or book an appointment with a local CIC office.

    Application Status

If you haven't received AOR, most likely your file is not opened by CPC-Sydney yet and thus not in the system yet. Normally you can check your status about 2 days after you receive AOR. But as suggested above, you can try using your Client ID.

Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

I think CBSA is just telling you the standard processing times - six to eight weeks. It's not the current processing time posted on CIC website.

    Four year work limit Question?

My understanding is that the 4-year limit only applies to work after April 1st, 2011. Here is the operation bulletin with many examples. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2013/ob523.asp

Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

45 days seem more reasonable. Recent trends in this thread are about 47 days... Maybe CIC calculated wrong in the last few weeks ;D

Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

Your math is wrong :D Nov 20 minus Oct 3 is like 48 days. It's calendar days according to the CIC website, not working days. And 48 days conforms to the trend reported in this thread (see the Google Spreadsheet on the previous page).

Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

If there is a two-week backlog, why did they change the processing time to 38 days???

Wow congratulations! That's only 11 days!

Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

Thanks for sharing. Considering the time needed for mailing, that's pretty close to 43 days CIC quoted last week. Is there a date of production or something on the card?

Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

That does not make sense. My understanding is that CIC processing times are for past applications. Also what's the significance of October 24?

Waiting for PR Card after landing - add your case here

I assume they should send to the mailing address (that's the whole point of mailing address)... Have you called CIC about your PR card? Since it's much longer than posted timelines (38 days), you should call and ask.

Anyone Travelled from Canada to India Via London with a COPR

No. COPR can only be used when you return from the United States via private vehicle. Although your question seems to be whether you can transit through London, not whether you can come back via COPR. In that case, I have no idea...

***PLEASE ADVISE***PR Card delayed due to maling address change

The processing time says "43 calendar days (This time applies if you have provided a mailing address)". So if you change your address, it is possible that they restart the counting process. Although I am not sure. Probably call back and ask another agent?

Application Sent... My Biggest Worry Now... Experts Please advice

It looks like, even without the implied status period, you still have more than 12 months. If that's the case, you should be totally alright. Oct-7-2010 till March-23-2011: You can only count work experiences in the last 3 years, so Nov 2010 to March 23-2011. That's more than four months...
