What is the usual processing time of Express Entry Applications post ITA?

Hi All

Just got through OINP after close to 11 months of waiting. Now preparing for the Post ITA process and PR application submission via Express Entry and wondering what is the timeline i should be looking at? Is it 6 - 7 months (as informed on the site or even longer)?

Has anyone received it in a shorter timeframe as well like 3-5 months, or is it gonna be as long an ordeal as OINP?

Need some valuable responses here ... to plan the year ahead and make some interim life's decisions that i have been putting off for a while.

Officially, sure.

Maybe.

Yes.

All those timeframes you speculated on have been reported on this forum. I've seen it as fast as 2.5 months (from start to finish), while others have been waiting for 14-16 months. Mine fell squarely in 6.5 months. There is really no way to predict an exact timeframe, as it depends per case, per VO, etc.

My advice to you is to go on with your life and forget about it, although it's easier said than done.
If you really want to plan, just go with the average (6-7 months) but always have at least a plan B in hand.

Thanks for the above reply :)

Any advise to keep the timeframe as short as possible by taking all necessary care during the application submission?

People who have had a smooth shorter to medium timeframe may please pitch in here to point out what they did differently that, according to them, made their processing faster.

I have to agree with bellaluna, you just can't know or even predict how long it will take.

Maybe those who were lucky to get earlier processing can give us insight on what they've done; otherwise plan for 6 months and move on with life

Other than submitting everything exactly as per requirements, there is nothing else you can do to influence application processing timelines.
