i dunno but i doubt that this is true,i dont think that 50 days are needed just to assess medicals
for FSW this is the approximate time yes, see immitracker
nothing is done before medical, this is the first thing.

Medical getting passed in 50 days doesn't mean that they are taking 50 days for medical review. It means the case has been assigned someone and the person has started looking in to the documents. The first step in their adjudication must be linking medicals to the application through UMI number provided in the sheet. Once they do that, the application must be automatically be updated for medical status.

There has been a few cases off late where BG changed BEFORE medical. This is recent trend and never used to happen before. The BG changes from NA to Next step is to do Background check. However this has happened in only a handful of people in the tracker. Around 4 or 5 people. Most of us are just stuck with NOTHING happening.

And now as per tracker, clearing of medical for FSW is now at 55 days. I am an April AOR, I don't think I can expect anything to change before 60 days!

So once the medicals get cleared does everything else get processed fast enough or is it months of wait time for every step?

Most people seem to be cleared between 3 and 5 months. However, CIC has explicitly stated that they will clear 80% of cases in 6 months. Unfortunately, depending on a persons circumstance, they could fall in the 20% too where it takes over 6 months. There is a thread specifically in this forum for people where its taken over 6 months. And many there get it in 12 to 14 months.

We just have to hope we fall in the 80% category!

When you say person's circumstance, what does it mean? What factors play a role in determining processing time? If your application is pretty simple (clear meds, clean background ie. no criminal records, all documents delivered in required format, nothing suspicious) then can you expect your application to be processed faster?
