I am a university student living with my parents. I have borrowed student loan and not working. How can I sponsor my spouse? Can my parents and spouse's parents help us to support financially?

Thanks

There is no financial requirement to sponsor a spouse. The only requirement is that you cannot be on social assistance other than disability. However, the CIC will expect to see some sort of way that you will be able to support your spouse when s/he comes to Canada. Since you don't have a job, you could have both sets of parents write a letter saying that they will help you out financially when necessary since you are a university student still. Having student loans will not be an issue.
