FSW is one of the Program to Immigrate in Canada, It is for Skilled Workers. So, You may need to get eligible for this program if you are thinking to Immigrate to Canada under Skilled Worker Category.

Once you are eligible, You would have to apply for Immigration Process. So, the process through which CIC will accept your application and process it accordingly is Express Entry.

so, FSW is an Immigration Program and Express Entry is an Application Process used by CIC to process Immigration program under FSWP, FSTP and CEC.

FSW is Federal Skill Worker Program to immigrate to Canada.
However, this program has been shut down . It was shut down on the 31st of December 2014.
EE is Express Entry Program
It is the program that replaces the FSWP .
It's a program that processes are now simplified and made faster.
Once you apply, your application is placed in a pool, when draws are made and you are lucky enough to have the required points used in the draws, an ITA (Invitation to apply)is sent out, with this ITA, you are then required to upload your documents online and within 6 -8 months maximum, you get your decision.
