what is international student i.d card and how do we get it.

i saw some bus services in canada offer student discounts upto 25 % for students having international students i.d card ..

how do we get this i.d card ?

I think you are talking about the card that your college will provide you. You will have to give them your PP size photograph and they will provide this to you.

They provide it to everyone as its unsafe to carry any other proof like PP while we are out somewhere so this is the best proof of ours being a student and it might have additional benefits as stated by you.

okay royal.. i was also thinking that it might be u- pass ( university pass) which can be student i.d card.

anyways for first time travel towards university.. we wont get discounts cause we get u-pass only from university ..

Nope, its not the same as University pass, check the link that I provided above.

ISIC is a Non Profit organisation and its HQs are located in Amsterdam. They provide this card to students above the age of 12. If it can help us get some good discount, its a must have for students.

Yep I will. We are spending good amount of funds to study, put up and live there, if we can get a good discount on anything (especially on transit), its more than welcome.

merci beaoucoup royalsting.. i just checked the link and it has processing centre in the university only, plus many other centres all around canada..yes i will get the card too.. feels comfortable to have the discount card ..
