Find an employer first. Read my reply to your first post. Ask the prospective employer to apply for a LMO in your favor. Lots of employers out there who need the services of a caregiver, especially you are already in Canada so to process your work permit would only take 27 days (as per CIC). This is a list of associations that may be able to help you if your employer is threatening to deport you or mistreating you. Call the closest/nearest organization and ask how to go about leaving the current employer.

Contact list
You can contact any of the following groups to get more information about your rights as a live-in caregiver in Canada. These groups can answer your questions about working conditions,employee-employer relations, changing jobs, job loss or abuse. They can also help you learn more about your new community and how to meet people. You do not need your employer's permission to contact these groups.

BTW why are you thinking you would be without job for 5 months? Because of the job search process? Try and find an employer first and then give your notice if you already have your LMO. Two weeks notice I think will suffice.

yes i amthinking about that due to economy crisis now.im havign hard time dealing with my employer and the kids, thats why i want to move out soon,if the employer didnt state in the contract that her kids have ADhd and ODD ,does she violate the rule since she put there they are normal??im having hard time so much and cant take yelling and screaming from the kids..thanks job seeker
