So I applied for my PR through CEC stream on Dec 19 2019 and my estimated processing last date is June 19 2020.
I called IRCC today (27th May) to get an update and they told me that I have passed my Eligibility Criteria and my Criminality Criteria. The only thing that is stuck is my Background Check and they cannot give me a timeline due to the covid situation.
My question is that, what entails the Eligibility Criteria and the Background check ? If I have passed the Eligibility criteria, does that mean that there is a good chance that i will get my PR ? Is the background check just a criminal/national security check kind of a thing ? Or is there more to it ?
