My NOC is 2174. I have done my Bachelors in Electronics and Communication Engineering in Apr, 2005 and started working as Software Engineer (NOC 2174) in Mar 2007 till 2011. After that, I have pursued full-time Masters of Science in Computer Science from 2011 to 2012.

If the "primary occupation" is:
  • a qualified trade (four-digit code begins with 632, 633, 72, 73, 82, 92), this is the date they became qualified to practice on their own in Canada. (For example, when they moved from apprentice to being a licensed tradesperson.)
  • any other job, this is the date they first obtained the minimum education or training stated in the NOC description. (Note: if the NOC only states high school, this is the date they graduated.)

NOC requirements states below.
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or in another discipline with a significant programming component
    or
Completion of a college program in computer science is usually required.

So, what date shall I enter for the below filed in Express Entry profile? Does my bachelors in electronics and communication engineering is considered as a significant programming component?

April 2005. You graduated from college and started working - the work does not have to correspond with your studies - you could graduate as a lawyer and work as a journalist, CIC doesn't care.

Besides, think about it - you got admitted to a Masters program in CS on the basis of your Bachelors in ECE, right? Therefore, your Bachelors must have fulfilled the minimum requirements for CS..
