NOC code possible mismatch and what to do if your primary NOC is different and this experience actually don’t give points to you. Post submission.

Hi everyone,
I’ve submitted my permanent residency profile under CEC. I have one concern. My software engineering experience may be flagged as not matching with my main duties mentioned in the letter. Before submission I didn’t know that including this specific experience wouldn’t give me any points since I have a year another foreign experience (college instructor) and CLB 9+ which already gives me the attritional points.
Also my primary NOC code is 21220 cybersecurity specialists which I have 3 years in Canada experience for that. Now what should I do?! Is it a risky thing, even though removing that experience is not going to impact neither my points nor my eligibility for the CEC?
Please help me since I’m just having nightmare for it.

If removing that experience doesn't change your points or eligibility, it's not a big deal. IRCC won't penalize you for including extra work experience that doesn't contribute points. They just won't count it.

The risk would be if the duties in your reference letter don't match the NOC you selected for that role. If that's your concern, send a brief webform saying you'd like to remove that specific work entry since it's not relevant to your eligibility. Keep it short and factual. But honestly, with 3 years of Canadian cybersecurity experience under 21220 as your primary NOC, that's what they'll focus on.

Yes, removing it won’t reduce my points or affect my eligibility in anyway. I’ve recalculated my points couple of times and since I have another foreign experience in the last 10 years and it’s for more than a year, and also 3 years Canadaian work experience related directly to my primary NOC and with my CLB9+, I’m already taking the maximum points from that one year foreign experience.
