I am an International Student
I finished a two year Master's Degree in Canada and got a PhD offer right after graduation. I get paid a salary from a research grant for the PhD and It has been 2 months since I started it. I have less than a year of foreign experience and no Canadian experience.

Can i get PR with my situation with a good IELTS score?

No u can’t get it the only thing your PhD will do is to grant u additional points. U still need to make yourself eligible either for FSW or CEC. Try pnp options as well

Thanks for the info
I checked my points and got 460. Is work experience a pre requisite for PR?

U can have 500 points if u don’t have 1 year continuos experience outside Canada or 1 year (irrespective be it a continuous or non continuous) within Canada that’s when u will be eligible for either FSW (provides u score 67 or above on FSW selection factirs) or Canadian experience classy

you can get PR when nearing your PR completion. There is a stream specifically for PhD holders

I am in Nova Scotia. Nothing of the sort like ontario

oh, not sure about that. I am based in ontario so i know about that.

I thought BC had a similar program, but probably not all provinces have it.

in Phd, you might be able to get your TA/RAship hours counted under NOC 4012 i think and apply as cec inland.

I always assumed NOC 4012 as RA/TA was considered if it was outside Canada. Does it work in Canada?
