My husband works in kuwait and i work in lebanon (will be joining him there shortly) he is under contract on going for at least another 5 years and submitted that along with his bank accounts for my visa application, from reading this post it shows people say its hard to bring spouse for visit because they think people will try to stay there, however i will go to kuwait and then go visit tickets already booked and submitted also and invitation letter came frim father in law (husband is canadian, born and raised there) what are my chances for approval. PS submitted everythiing including biometrics

Don't book tickets to Canada until you have your visa.

Being married to a Canadian will weigh against your application, as will working in a country that is not your home country. If you can establish ties to home and reasons to leave Canada, you may have a chance.

But in the application it shows to submit tickets to prove we will return. Also my husband is working in Kuwait and we will go visit Canada together and return to Kuwait together. Doesn’t that help?

No, the application does not say to submit tickets to prove you will return. It says to submit an itinerary, and in many places in the guide and online it says do not buy tickets until you have the visa granted.

Are the tickets refundable?

I hope it doesn’t come down to that. But my husband is working and is under contract in Kuwait. So shouldn’t that help if he’s also only going to visit Canada?
