We are definitely going to visit Vancouver when we go to visit his mom is BC. Planning to fly in October and can't wait! ;D

Yeah, they say that but might just respond or instead send the AOR. I emailed that address to ask if they received my medicals, they emailed me back a week later to say they did. My application was within normal processing times too. So give it a try. Thats the address you will receive most communication from Warsaw from. Don't forget to include the file number.
And then, don't get scared by that official 12 months, realistically the processing times for most applications now is much shorter.

Dziękuję Malinko :) True, Warsaw VO seems to be very efficient lately with processing applications. Congratulations to you for getting your PR and making travel arrangements for October! You did it :D

Sounds great! PM me if you wanna meet up ;) Good luck with everything!

I was wondering if I could do a short, 2-day First Aid course while being on a visitor visa here in Canada. Any thoughts?

They start processing our app on July 28th and no word from them since aor2 ( august 6th)...

Hei Long, we have the same timeline and I haven't heard anything from Warsaw VO yet, so no worries.

Since eminem_n_rihannah is a Polish applicant with a Canadian wife, being processed in Warsaw (as same situation as mine) I keep looking at his timeline to estimate the date of my PPR :D Maybe it's a little bit crazy but their application is the only example I have for now (I am not sure in kkk<3 is living in Canada or Poland right now, so I don't follow their timeline).

So this is what I see following eminem_n_rihannah's timeline:
It took him exactly 72 days to go from AOR2 to PPR (from 2nd of June to 13th of August).
I received mine AOR2 on the 6th of August so after adding another 72 days, I estimate mine PPR to come on the 17th of October :)
Now, if you are a Polish citizen (as same as me and eminem_n_rihannah), I think you can expect your PPR to come on the 19th of October ;D

This is just my crazy math, based on only one application's timeline. We will see if my calculations are gonna work or not ;) Hopefully our PPR will come a bit earlier, cause eminem_n_rihannah's application was received in Warsaw on the 8th of August and I can just imagine how many people in every VO were on holidays in August, so it could have made his process a bit slower.

eminem_n_rihannah are on the 34th day since PPR and I hope they will receive their visa very soon and let us know about it, so we can estimate the day we will get our visas issued ;)

Hey userpg, my situation is a lil bit different I'm a Russian applicant with Canadian husband, we have been living in China for few years, so I was even expecting my application send there ( got my trvs thri china as well) so I might have to go thru more background check, and I primary used checklist for china so expecting request for additional documents but nothing so far.... And seems like since august pprs and IPs everything slow down... Oh well
Found this spread sheet as Russian speaking forum, here docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Q83vjzNZ_VFxQ5LpGSam79tFc210OR8b3cVVsSleZzA/htmlview?hl=en_GB&pli=1# are more info, but it's so different some people get their papers done even in 4 month, but majority 7,5 so we are expecting to get a do more like a nice Christmas gift from cic :) hopefully ... Fingers crossed for all of us....

Hi userpg!
We're both living in Canada, I'm on an extended visitor visa right now. But it doesn't matter if you live in Canada or Poland. Application is processing outland.

I got my PPR today :) //very very happy//

Congrats!
We received an email requesting:
'1. An evidence that my sponsor intends to resume residence in Canada (i.e. evidence that she has set up residence, proof that she has looked for or secured employment, etc.)
2. A copy of all pages of your passport by mail, e-mail (warsaw-im-enquiry @ international.gc.ca) or by fax.
Please provide the above within 30 days from the date of this correspondence.'

Question 1:
My wife didn't look for any jobs yet. We were expecting to get this email at the end of October or maybe in November. We looked for apartments online but didn't send any emails to real estate companies yet either.
We will look for both asap/this weekend but is it going to be OK if we start looking for an apartment/job for my wife only now and send these details as a proof to WVO?

Question 2:
Do I consider WVO asking for a copy of all pages of passport as PPR? Or do they ask for copies of passport first and an original passport later on?

Please help.
