Did they ask you to send your passport or to send print copy of all the pages?

I have send copy of all pages of passport right away, and this morning I received passport request, I'm from Russia so not visa exempt...

Damn you are making me dreaming... I thought I would have to wait till next summer or spring at best... the only thing with me is that Quebec still didn't finish their part (they actually just started) and I wonder if Warsaw started to process us already or they are waiting for Quebec's answer

To all the Warsaw applicants the spreedsheet seems pretty outdated... it would be nice if people could update their infos and for the ones not in it to add themself

Yeah I was thinking of next June too... ( we also have a red flag), and was hoping for passport request as Christmas gift as earliest :) but things work out even better!!!

May I ask what kind of documents they requested?

Since we're both living in the UK they asked me (the sponsor) to provide evidence of my intention to return to Canada. So I've included proof that we own a condo where we plan to live, a few job application emails, some correspondence with headhunters, receipts of us wiring some of our savings in GBP back to Canada, my resignation letter to my current employer, flight back home in December, etc.

Also, and this was the main one we expected, my wife and I lived in Bermuda for a period of time; long enough that she would need to provide a police certificate from there. Unfortunately, you can't provide the Bermuda police certificate until the visa office sends you a letter/template to request it. So now that we finally have the letter we can get the certificate.

Lastly, they asked for scans of every page of my wife's passport.

Question 1.
How long does it usually take for CIC to issue a COPR? Are we going to get it by e-mail, and/or post?

Question 2.
How many of you are doing the outland process while staying currently in Canada? Are you planning to go U-turn at USA border and then "land" in Canada?

Hi Tumczyk, I also have the same questions :) just send my passport yesterday to Ottawa, they asked to attach 2 prepaid envelopes so I guess it's gonna be by mail for me.... I might do U-turn at the USA-Can border or may be spend few days in states before landing as PR

.

Hey Long, Russia is not a visa- exempt country, so to travel to USA you must apply for a visitor visa, yes? Or maybe you already have it, in which case, enjoy the States! :-)

Yeah got my USA visa already :) thanks! Did u send your passport already? To warsaw or to Ottawa?

Oh I see lucky you! That would be a nice vacation for you to take before officially landing in Canada as a PR :) If I remember correctly, your destination is Ontario? I sent my passport scans in a PDF to Warsaw VO, I don't really know what comes next for me. If I understand correctly I need to show up at the Canadian border with a COPR for an entry interview and maybe this is when they insert the visa into my passport? Who knows. The closest border crossing for me would be Peace Arch (Vancouver BC).
I cannot wait to start my life in Canada!!!!!!! Yay

Oh so u are from visa exempt country, I guess u just show up with the corp then and they will mail u pr card in about month....
Hehe have been on vacation since July.... Can't work or do anything here while on visitor visa lol so I'm really looking forward to start career here too

I'm in Poland right now, received an email asking for proof that my wife is willing to come back to Canada plus copies of my passport.
We sent email to real estate companies last weekend, my wife is sending resumes to a few companies today. We will wait a few days for an answer and than print it and send it to the WVO.

I am just wondering how long it's going to take from the moment they received passport copies in Warsaw to COPR.
So Tunczyk and other people from Warsaw VO, please keep us informed when you will get your COPR.
