hi guys,,hopefully someone can help me here for my question

im currently holding a temporary work permit here in canada and my uncle's friend is interested in hiring me to the usa and willing to sponsor me,,

my question is that do u think guys this is possible and what are the options for her to get me there and the steps to be done,,

It depends if you're from a 1st world country or a third world country. For example, citizens from third world countries would have to return to their country of origin and apply in the American consulate there. As long as you have a legitimate employer/sponsor and have all the paperwork in order, it should not be a problem. I think if you're from a first world country, you can just go to the US embassy in Canada to apply.

Good luck! :)

well im in canada already but im from phils..we want to process my papers here while my trv is still valid....

why do i have to go back to my home country to apply???

check this out:

http://www.usvisa-info.com/en-CA/selfservice/us_tcn_present_united_states

here's an excerpt:

"With rare exceptions, visa applicants should apply at the U.S. Consular Section in their country of residence. If the applicant is not a resident of Canada, interviewing officers at the U.S..Consular Sections in Canada may not have experience in evaluating the circumstances in the applicant's country of residence. The applicant will, therefore, have greater difficulty establishing eligibility for a U.S. visa in Canada than would be experienced in the applicant's home country."

from a previous post on this forum (it's for a tourist visa, but probably applies to all visas)
