Thanks for all the details, i have same concerns in going through this process in Canada. On Indian embassy site it says baby will need to renounce the Canadian citizenship and that is not allowed till baby is 18years. I dont want to get stuck in situation i get Indian passport here in canada somehow and then can never apply for PR since baby is already by birth Canadian.

Babies likely hold dual citizenship as an exception (because they can't renounce) with India. Read the law ffs.

we are expecting chid in December and we bith are Indian Citizens with Canadian PR from 8 years. We want our child to have Indian passport and Adharcard due to our ties backhome.

We know there is India Mission thing to register Baby born outside india for Indian citizenship. but in rules it says we have renounce Canadian citizenship but parents cannot do that until baby is 18years. I am now co fused weather we go India and have chil born there get passport in fee days get TRV amd come back to go through India mission way and then apply for TRV and PR from Canada. Checking if anyone has wemt through either of this route and share the process and challenges if there were any.
Where you able to get a solution, if you get Indian passport and go to Indian how do you enter back to Canada without PR or Canadian passport

We decided to deliver baby in India as it was the best option. Once baby is get birth certificate asap and apply for passport which arrives in a week. Apply for TRV. once arrived in Canada apply for PR Sponsorship and keep extending babys visitor record until pr is processed.

Getting baby here in canada might allow baby to get India passport but when we apply for PR it will not allow stating baby is already canadian as per birth place which is grey area.

Not an immigration lawyer and not a legal advise but do also consider worst case scenario of TRV being rejected for the baby (if this even happens). You’d then have to sponsor the baby for a PR while one of the parent moves back to Canada to sponsor the child (as both as PR)

Best to consult a lawyer to cover all bases.

If TRV is rejected, which is rare in this scenario but possible. Then we might re apply stating both parents have to go back to work in Canada. if still denied then will see as it makes no sense to be back in canada as PR will take long time and job market is very challenging this days. Lets see what happens going with the flow now. will keep posting updates here.
