Our passports were delivered on January 14th. Prepaid XpressPost USA label included. No updates so far.

Our passports were delivered to CIC on 1/14 and the return tracker got activated earlier today (1/28). It took CIC exactly two weeks (or 11 working days) to issue the visas from the moment they received the passports.

2015/01/28 16:23 return tracker got activated.

it had reached to CIC on 16 jan.

Got the passport back with visa but why don't they have any photo on the visa sticker?

Canadian visa has no photos.

Good friends,

I got my passport back yesterday and will be landing this weekend. Either Niagara or Buffalo. Any tips?

It has been a long wait and I hope you guys get the news you've been waiting for. Good luck!

Thanks,

Isn't it the same thing? The actual border crossing is in Niagara Falls, about 15-20 miles north-west from Buffalo.

Yeah, they're two different entry ports but close to each other.

I am waiting for my passports back from CPC-Ottawa, and once I get them, then planning to land via Buffalo (less traffic, and fast processing than Niagara). If you select one of these, then please share your experience.

Thanks!

Received my passport today ! will be landing tomorrow hopefully.

^ Congrats! Please share your landing experience :)

We (my wife and our infant) went to Niagara on 31 jan ..

We went to Rainbow bridge . went to US side via the checkpoint. told the officer there that we have to go back in canada again .

At the checkpoint we were given a yellow receipt and told to wait near an office.

another officer chekd our docs and gave a refusal for US note . and guided us back into canada..

while going over the bridge we had to pay 3.75 CAD for toll . after ariving at canada chekpoint , our papers were checked , some routine questions were asked and we were told to go in office to meet the immigration officer.

after meeting the office and giving the relevant papers (passport, COPr and the us refusal note) , after a short wait the officer cleared the papers, we signed on the Copr and it was stapled on the passport, our immigration visa was striked(by pen) on passport. and a landing stamp was made on adjacent page.

there the immigration officer asked us few questions like bank balance and whether we had to import anything from our native country.

and congratulated us for PR !

^ Congratulations! You were asked about funds? That's weird! Did they ask you for proof of funds in the bank?

Thanks!
