Hi all,

I am in the process of applying for citizenship and I am thinking about attaching the following documents in the additional documents section of the application:

1) Scans of all stamped pages of Passport: I remember reading that we need to upload all stamped pages of passport at some point during the application. Did this rule change because I noticed that the application only asks for the bio page? Should I attach the scans just in case?
2) Additional evidence for language proficiency: I am adding in the expired IELTS I used for my PR application. Should I also add my US degree as an extra proof of language ability? I also participated in the government-funded CLIC courses in French (LINC). Do I need to include that?

What other additional documents did you add to your applications? Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks!

1) if it makes you feel better about it. But yes, if IRCC asks about the bio page only, it means that they only need the bio page for the vast majority of applicants, and that, at least, anything they don't explicitly ask for isn't needed as part of a complete application.

2) You could even use the US degree as a first proof. But again, sure, why not. No harm there.

But as a general rule : keep it simple. You're thinking of these additional docs, and the fact that you took the time to write about it suggests that skipping them may add some stress, so add them, but there's no need to flood IRCC with a ton of additional docs. Odds are, the agent working on your application will just toss them 2 seconds after having a look.

You do NOT need to add additional documents and it will not help, just clog up the system.
1) Your memory is faulty. Attach what they ask for - no more.
2) Pick one and go with that. You only need to show proficiency in one official language, so no, don't include evidence about another official language. (Although I admire your enthusiasm)
