Passport sent on 9th January 2015...expected delivery to ottawa office is 13th..eagerly waiting got it to be stamped and sent back to us soon

Happy to share that I got PPR today, and thanks a lot for all your support!

I am totally confused about sending passports to Canada, and could not find a decent post with all instructions. I know there are few friends here who sent passports to cpc-ottawa from USA and got them back.

Please could you let us know step by step process you did to make it happen? It would be a great help. Thanks a lot and All the best!!

Note: If Canada Post is the only option to buy the label, then I came across the posts online with payment difficulties. So it would be a great help, if some one in USA could share their experience with payment, label and sending passports to OTTAWA.

Canada post website doesn't have any outside country/states option in their payment address field, which forced me to pay the money using Canadian credit card. You have to use Canadian credit card to make payment to Canada post website. Good luck.

This is not entirely correct. I was able to print the CanadaPost label paying with the US credit card. You're right though that the link provided by CIC doesn't let you pay with the US credit card. Here's what I did differently. I created an account on CanadaPost (Venture Program).
Once you sign-up, CanadaPost will send you your customer number: 000XXXXXXX
Then, you are able to purchase the XpressPost label with any credit card outside Canada. Keep in mind, you will need to use your customer number in a couple places. If this gets too complicated, call CanadaPost 1-800 number. They should help you if you tell them your customer number. I was also told that XpressPost label can be attached to any envelope, so this is probably why CIC has not asked for XpressPost envelope if you have a US address. Good luck!

Great. Thanks for the info. CIC received mine on 8th Jan. Hopefully get the pp soon. Normally how many days will take ito receive the pp back? I live in USA.

Hi I don't think they email us that they received the passport ..we basically have to understand that from the Canada post tracker ..my tracker showed that they got the passport on 13th jan and I did not receive any email from CIC..although I am not sure if they email saying they gave stamped the passport and are sending it back? Anyone..?

According to the global spreadsheet, the average wait time for CPP-Ottawa from "passport received" to "visa issued" is 10 days. I'd add another week to 10 days for shipping. Folks have been reporting delivery anywhere within 2 weeks to 8 weeks time-frame, but this includes those in Canada in USA.
