I Just had a good news . My passport was successful delivered back to my lawyer in Montreal around 14:34.
It means after 48 hours in cpc -Ottawa It was stamped and out of the door :)
Good luck everybody !

Received the CoPR and passports back today. Was recvd by Ottawa on 27th Feb and were mailed back on 4th Mar.

My return tracker was activated yesterday at 17:17 and I am hoping I will get my Passport back today along with CoPR. But, a while ago found the update which says "Canada Post processing error; item re-routed. Possible delay". The notification that I enabled for this tracker notified me with this msg "Canada Post has made an error in the transportation of the item. The error has been corrected and we are committed to delivering the item to its final destination. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and any potential delay."

Fingers crossed! Still hoping to receive my Passport and CoPR by EOD.

CPC-Ottawa received March 3, 2014.
Request for Pics: March 4, 2014. (they forgot to ask for pics initially)
CPC-Ottawa received everything: March 5, 2014.

Waiting for tracker to activate.

Received my passport last Tuesday, March 4, 2014. I will do my landing tomorrow... :D

Hi all,

I received passport request email yesterday and planning to send my passport tomorrow. I had 2 doubts and if any one can help clarify that will be greatly appreciated.

1. Initially with my application I had sent 6 photographs. My understanding is that one of the photograph would be used for PR card. Also I did not get a request to provide photographs in the mail? Should I still send a photograph or just the passport?

2. I am planning to go out of canada after I get my visa stamped but before getting PR card. Can I use the visa to return back and will it be considered landing at the airport and would I be provided the COPR at that point?

Please let me know. Thanks.

1- Send pictures anyways... They will ask for it again again again. (happened to me)

2- If you do your landing and leave country without PR card, you should come back with a private car. For flights you will need visa... or the card. But if you have sometime right after landing send an inquiry and required documents to CIO - NS for fast processing. They provide that. Thats what I will do as well.

Are you sure u need to send pictures ? I haven't been requested any pictures so I sent my passport only.

Of what i read in some other post few weeks back is that they no longer request pictures

Well depends on how much officer knows about the recent regulations.
I sent my passport and the next day I got an email asking for pictures for my spouse only. But funny thing is they say in the email, they want recent pictures of my spouse, which the pictures are 10 months old, where as my pictures are 2.5 years old and they haven't asked for mine. So I sent for myself and her in case.

It is up to you, if I have the pictures in my hand, I would attach it with passport putting a note on it "In Case", cause otherwise you need to pay for a second xpresspost mail :) and couple more days of delay...
