Waiting for Passport - Please add your case here

I received the notice of "passport request" from CPP-O on the July 11, 2013. By the next July 15 my status online was updated to "Decision made".

Can someone please answer my question below:

After PPR is requested and when the passports are sent. Does CIC cancel the existing Temporary Resident Visa and issue single entry Immigrant VISA? Can seniors please respond to my question based on your experience.

Yes, they will cancel your TRV (sealed as "Cancelled, without prejudice") and you will get a single entry PR VISA stamped in your passport. Once you are landed as an immigrant, you can't travel out of country till the time you get your PR Card. There are be some exceptions applicable

I am wondering if any body have any idea what happened with online status check options??? i was trying to check my app.status online on CIC website and found that it is unable to find any information on my file...it is mentioning that i might be incorrectly putting my file number but tried a few times and got the same result...just to inform you so that you have a better idea that my status was changed to decision made a long ago...i received PPR on June 24th and CIC received my PPs on 9th July....please respond if you have any idea and you will be highly appreciated...thank you

Did my landing at Fort Erie. Took a U-turn. Did not have to go to US.

Ap2013 - keep checking your return tracker. If you got DM status on 15 July, my guess is that your passport will be returned pretty soon, today or tomorrow. Let us know when your tracker activates.

I sent my passport and it reached there on 4th of July. No update since. also my Ecas went DM before I sent my passport. I got ppr on 25th june and DM came around 28th I guess.

Yes, generally speaking they return passport literally few days after DM appears on your ECAS. But again, it all depends on each case.

Got my passport today with COPR and new one time entry visa stamped. The old visa is not cancelled. It will be during my landing procedure. One important thing is that my passport is going to expire in April next year (less than a year left) and as such my visa has been issued till the end of my passport expiry date. Have got enough time to do the landing. I might do the landing in November as I need to attend a conference in UK in October and go to my home country. So i will send my passport to UK immigration office again for a fresh UK visa.

Thanks to all who have been so helpful. The list of names is really big. This is a wonderful site and the spirit is top-notch. All the very best to all who are waiting for the next stages of their application processing.
