I paid fees for Visa on 10th March but I have not received any request for passport? Any idea, when I can expect to get the request for passport?

That's not possible! I have never seen anyone has this issue, most people gets their PP back within the 14 days limit.
Send CIC an email regarding this issue, they prob will reply within a day or two. Good luck

They received mine on March 22, and I got it back on April 4.
Though I'm not waiting, I thought I'd let people know in case there's somebody out there calculating average time or something.

I believe you want to say "... got it back on April 4"?
The avg time seems to be exactly 14 days with a deviation of zero. : )

My passport timeline:

Ready for visa letter: 29 March
Passport send: April 30th
Delivered to Ottawa: April 4th
Tracking activated: April 5th

They are speeding up ;D i think it will be back tomorrow or latest Thursday. Status on my CIC changed this morning to approved.

Did any one else go through the same and what have they done to trace the passport back. I have called Canada post and cic and none of them are helpful, they all are trying to was off their hands. can you please help me if you have gone through similar situation and what did you do to get back your passport.

I'd say keep calling Canada Post until they give you an answer. Tell them is your passport and a visa what they have lost.

Happened to me twice. Luckily, I figured the root cause the first time hence it was easy to locate my passports the second time. Please see below:

- Did you opt for signature upon delivery option while buying Xpresspost? If yes, online tracking should be showing the name of the person.
- Do you live in an apartment/condo? If yes, try to track the mailman (root cause) whenever he/she comes and tell him/her to check each and email mailbox.
- If above two doesn't work you should report to police and they will intimate CBSA.
