Hi everyone,

I have problem right now, can anyone please help me.

My spouse is in Canada, and I am in Singapore. Our passports are being requested by the Canadian Embassy in the Philippines for our Permanent Residence application. Are we required to send our passports together (as what sounds like in their email)? Or can we submit it separately, having different return addresses?

I understand, we cannot mail a passport to an individual. I figured she could mail it to be then I'd mail it together to the embassy. But I know it's not allowed. Can someone please advise.

Thank you.

read the mail again, there is always a clause which says if you are not able to send passport together then contact us, see below, your mail may be different

We require a VALID passport for you and for each accompanying family member. Passports for you and all accompanying family members must be submitted together. There must be at least one blank visa page in each passport. If there are children included in your passport there must be blank visa pages for them as well.
Please note that permanent resident visas cannot be issued to holders of Diplomatic, Official or Military passports. You must obtain an ordinary passport.

If you or any of your family members are residing outside North America and you are unable to send your/their passport(s) to Canada and/or to provide a return mailing address in North America, contact us at CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca so that we can make arrangements to print visas at another office.

I'm waiting for my COPR and Passport from HongKong office.

They have provided a tracking # (Registered Mail) and it shows it left HongKong on May 15th. It's been almost 1 month and there's still no tracking information on CanadaPost yet. I've checked with Canada Post and they said the mail has not reached the land of Canada yet.

I'm not sure what to do now. I don't know if Canada Post is bullshitting me. Seems like the only thing i can do is ask HK CIC to file a case with HK Post and track down where the hell the package went.

The worst part is that my medical exam expires on July 1st. There's only 2 weeks left before I can receive the package and land.

Passport sent on June 17th received on June 18th.

Passport sent June 18, how long does it take to get passport back, I'm traveling in July

You should contact CPC Ottawa and and let them know they should allow you to get your visa printed on 2 different countries.

It means that CIC has handed the envelope containing my passport & COPR to Canada Post.
