Waiting after Background Check went in progress!

hello everyone,
i m a cec applicant and my background has been in progress since 27 jan 2017 but on the 3rd february i recieved an additional document request asking for a RCMP Criminal record check.i have applied for it and waiting for it .can someone please help me as to what can i expect with my application now.i got my aor on the 6th of december and medicals were passed on 27th january.

i sent inquiry to CIC and they replied to methat your routine BG check is remain ongoing and we will contacted u as soon
i m worried how long will take to get ppr

and you applied thru EE correct? Have you traveled a lot before? It could have an impact to the length of the process. If not, have you ordered the notes? it will be advisable for you to do that. it's almost 4 mos now since your BG has been changed, I'm seeing mostly that people do get a PPR within 1-2 months after this has been changed. but then again, it totally depends on your profile.

kindly wait for it. it's a good sign that they're asking you this and that. it means that your application is progressing.
there are a lot of applicants that has a Nov 2016 AOR who haven't got their BG changed yet.

I traveled to UK several times but less then 6 month,and i spoke to a professional immigration lawyer he said u have to wait and never contact again to CIC,he also said these days after medical Passed CIC send for the security Clarence and in few cases it takes time 1 to 6 month and some time more.On this stage CIC has done his job and totally helpless till security clearance comes.
but i will order to GCMS notes in couple of weeks

Yes, my background check status changed to 'In Progress' on Feb. 10, 2016 and is still going on!
My AOR date is October 11, 2015.
