my husband is a full time student in canada . he left from india on 27th dec 2016. i applied for TRV visa on 21st dec 2016 through online . still my application status says open. i saw some of u got results who applied 21st dec. what shld i hav to do ??? will thy give visa or is thr chances for refusal??

Hi Kir1217,

I did applied for my parents online on 20 dec2016. get msg on my cic account 21 dec 2016 file open. Jan 05 2017 original passport request. passport submit jan 09 2017. this is my time line hope that help.

hope you will get sooner. really you cant do anything. just wait and watch.

We submitted our parents visit visa yesterday through VFS in Delhi.. Let's see how it goes this time.. There visit visa has been refused twice before but as now we are PR; we thought of reapplying same.. Fingers crossed and hoping for best

We submitted visitor visa paper based application on 5th Jan 2017 and linked my paper application into my CIC account and today morning application status changed to Approved.

Me and my friend have applied for visitor visa (11-01-2017) Online from CIC website we have filled all the forms which was required and submitted online.

My question to you is that it did not ask for air tickets, Financial Documents and Hotel Bookings.

Is it because i have traveled to Canada earlier as a student 6 years back and my friend has a valid US visa. Our purpose of visit is Tourism and we also have invite letter from 2 of my friends from Canada.

We both are on same boat. My parents get pp request 5jan. Pp submitted 9jan from Ahmedabad. Under process at banglore. Let me know any news you heard. I will let youknow as well about my parents.

Hi,

Today status got changed to Approved. Awesome news. Also my parents passports are dispatched from Bangalore. Mostly I can collect them on Monday.
I am just thinking for long they have granted the visa. I have not received any email.
