Hi all, just a question. Under the new policy it states that you can apply for a employer specific work permit if you have a a valid job offer with a lmia or lmia exempt.
my sister is looking for a babysitter full time, and my sister in law is in Canada on a visitor visa. would my sister be allowed to hire my sister in law as a babysitter and is that considered lmia exempt or my sister needs lmia ? Thank you

And you’d have to register with the CRA and get a caregiver payroll account to pay the individual.
Pay payroll remittances, issue T4 at the end of the year to the employee
