Visitor visa parents

I applied for y mom and dad together. They submitted their passport yesterday and today when i checked i can see status of my mom as approved,but for my dad i cant see any status.

Why can't i see status of my dad's application? Any suggestions?

Also, my mom's counterfoil expiry date is 2021 even thought her passport has 10 year validity i.e, till 2029.

the visitor visa is usually stamped for 10 years or not??

It is written counterfoil under document.what is that?

People are processed individually. You will hear about your father soon. A 10 year multiple entry visa is never guaranteed. The 2 year time period shows that the visa agent is concerned about their applications but not concerned about to cancel. To get a longer multiple entry visa your parents should visit Canada but also return home to establish ties.
